They look like this but without our name on!

If I was running these now on a personal basis I would use raffle tickets.  You need to keep a note of the tickets that you have used.  I would have 8 different colour books for each runner, and when the race is run you will know exactly how many you have sold for your pay-out calculations.  These are an awful lot cheaper than tote tickets!

The other things that you will need to make your event run smoothly!

This is all the bits we used to hire to clients to make their event a success!

1 A DVD Player - You need this to run the races on.  You will need one that has an audio output so that you can connect it to an Amplifier. This is a suitable DVD Player - Click Here! It Has HDMI Connection and RCA plug which will allow it to be connected to a separate Amplifier and Projector.

2 A Video Projector - When we first started video projectors were over £3,000 to buy.  The cost of this technology has dropped significantly.  The important measure in a projector is the brightness or the lumens.  These early machines had a lumen count of about 1000.  I am actually looking at a pile of them I have sitting here!  I should have sold them years ago!  Anyway, you can now pick up a very usable machine for under £75!  If I was replacing my stock I would pick this Mini Projector - Click Here!   It's compact and has had a significent number of good ratings.

3 Projector Screen - If you have a suitable blank wall then you can alway use that to show your races.  Out comperes ALWAYS use a proper screen.  The quality of the image is just so much better.  The one I'm recommending is 120 Inch which should be suitable for most of the events my customers run.  It folds up into a nice carrying bag!  Projector Screen with Stand and Carry Bag - Click Here!

4 Amplifier & Speakers - Now this was always the expensive part of the setup!  You can spend a fortune on HIFI separates and DJ kit!  If I was looking at an event for 100 people then I'd probably go with a combined unit like this!  Karaoke Machine With 2 Microphones - Click Here!  You may need a lead to connect the DVD player to the 'AUX in' on this amplifier.  There are a whole host of alternate amp and speaker combos you can pick from depending on your budget and size of audience.

5 Jockey outfits  - You may want to put your tote ticket sellers and staff members in some funny outfits and these all add to your event.  There are a whole range of colours and styles to pick from Outfit 1, Outfit 2, Outfit 3 there are loads others.  You may also want your compere to wear a shiny jacket like this one - Sequin Red One!  There are so many to choose from to make your evening memorable.

6 TrestleTables - You need to put the projector and tote sellers on something and we used these style tables.  They fold away well and are substantial.  Trestle Tables - Click Here!
