Course Description
The course is run left-handed and is approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs. The last bend into the home straight is tight and then its a steady ascent for the final 4 furlongs. There is an extension on the end of the home straight and this is used for the sprint races.

Bath Racecourse has three Enclosures on a Race-day, the Premier Enclosure, the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure and the Centre Course Enclosure.

The Premier Enclosure has the prime viewing position on the racecourse adjacent to the winning line and has the most comprehensive facilities. You have full access to all public areas of the course including the Parade Ring and Winners' Enclosure, plus exclusive use of the Premier Bar and Restaurant.

The Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure has an excellent viewing area with seating and a variety of catering and bar outlets. There is also access to the Bookmakers, the Parade ring and the Winners enclosure.

The Centre Course Enclosure is a popular choice for families with acres of picnic space and the option of parking within the enclosure. There is a bar which serves snacks and provides betting facilities.

By road:
Conveniently located two miles North of the city centre, Bath Racecourse is just six miles South of Junction 18 of the M4 Motorway and is well sign-posted from all major routes to its location on Lansdown Hill.

By rail:
You can reach Bath Racecourse from both the main London Paddington and South Wales lines. There are also regular connections from Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham. Buses and taxis run from the station to the course (10-15 minutes ride). There is a bus service provided by ‘First' bus company which runs every half an hour throughout the day starting 2 hours before the first race. The service number is 22 and it picks up from Dorchester Street.
