The old course and the new course are both roughly heart shaped and run left handed.
Both have fences including open ditches and water jumps. The finishing straights are uphill.
The Best Mate Enclosure
The Best Mate enclosure gives race goers a great view of the racing, a Harry Ramsden restaurant,
betting shop and bars. The enclosure is directly opposite the main stands.
Tattersalls And Club
On every day except The Open Saturday and The Festival, Tattersalls and Club are combined to form one enclosure.
This allows you to use all the areas including the Members’ Lawn, viewing steps, paddock and, subject to weather,
the centre of the course by the jumps.
The Tattersalls Grandstand provides extensive viewing steps, a betting hall, bars and buffets.
Race goers in
Tattersalls have access to the Centaur, paddock and unsaddling enclosure and to the Hall of Fame, the Gold Cup
Restaurant™ and the trade stands in the Tented Village.
Club is the most exclusive enclosure with the best viewing, bars, buffets and betting areas.
With access from the Hall of Fame, the Centaur provides over 1000 additional seats,
a big screen to watch all the racing, totepool and Coral betting outlets, food and bars.
The course is situated on the A435 north of Cheltenham five miles from the M5 turn off.
The nearest station is Cheltenham Spa. There is a bus service from the station to the course,
two hours before the first race.
