Course Description
Galway is right handed and almost rectangular of 1 mile 2 furlongs. Sharp decent to the turn in and uphill finish
of 2 furlongs. 6 hurdles and 7 fences on circuit.
Facilities
There are tote facilities available in all of the bars in the Stand, with televisions showing coverage of the racing.
The Corrib Bar which is located on the top floor of the stand is reserved for patrons using the reserved seating balcony.
The Aran Bar serves hot food and drinks and is on the second floor with access to the seating balcony.
The Kinvara Bar is also located on the second floor of the Millennium Stand
The Ballybrit Bar is situated on the first floor of the stand. This bar serves drinks only. There is also a Seafood and Wine Bar
on the first floor, serving delicious seafood, including fresh Galway oysters.
The Long Bar is located on the ground floor of the Millennium Stand serving hot food, tea, coffee and drinks.
Directions
By Road:
Galway is 136 miles from Dublin. The racecourse is situated four miles outside the city centre off the Galway-Tuam road.
Directions to the course from the city are clearly marked with AA signs.
By Rail:
Regular train service to Galway from Dublin (Heuston Station). Special continuous bus service from Galway city centre during racing.
