Course Description
Both the Flat and National Hunt circuits are left-handed, and generally level.
The distance is 1 mile 2 furlongs. Both circuits will suit strong gallopers. The
National Hunt races are run on the 'inside lane' of the overall circuit. There
are nine fences per circuit of the chase course with a 210yrd run-in.
Facilities
All enclosures have bars and outlets selling snacks. Full meals are also
available in the many bars and restaurants. Families are very welcome at Ayr
racecourse with special play areas for children.
Directions
By road:
The upgraded A 77 links Ayr with Glasgow which is only 35 miles away and
Edinburgh is a 90 mile drive
By rail:
There is a regular, reliable rail service from Ayr to all parts of the country
and the station is less than five minutes by road from the course.
