Course Description
It is a triangularcourse, run left handed and is 1 mile 6 furlongs. The ground is level.
There is a steady climb along the home straight to the finish post. An extension at the start of the home straight
is used for races of 1 mile or less. The Chase course has 11 fences.
Facilities
The Premier Enclosure
Day Member Badge holders have exclusive use of the Colonel
Porter Grandstand which provides excellent views, facilities and bars. Also in this enclosure is Brandling House where
the Gosforth Park Suite Restaurant is situated.
The Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure
You have access to the main Grandstand, with seated viewing
areas, the Parade Ring and Winner's Enclosure. A terraced stand overlooks a large lawned area, ideal for picnics in the summer
months. There are a number of bars and catering outlets selling food and snacks.
Directions
By Car
The course is close to the junction of the A1 and A1056. Parking is free.
By Rail
Newcastle Central Station is on the main East Coast line and is only 15 minutes by car to Newcastle Racecourse.
